Overview

PlanBridge lets you open your plans, measure off them, mark them up, and keep a record of your work. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

You provide

• No account needed — local app use does not require an account. Where optional or legacy account sign-in is available and you choose to use it, Firebase processes the sign-in information you provide.
• Profile and onboarding — your role or trade, whether you work commercial or residential, and your general region (which you type in; we do not use your device's GPS). We use this to set up and personalize the app. At launch this stays on your device.
• Your content — the plan files (PDFs), photos, notes, measurements, and markups you add are stored locally. When you choose to export or share them, the files go to the destination you select.
• Support messages — when you email us, we receive your sender address, message, and any attachments you choose to include. Opening an email draft does not send it automatically.

Collected automatically

• Purchase info — Apple handles the paid iOS app download and may provide transaction and sales information through its developer services. Android or legacy in-app purchases may be processed through Google or Apple and RevenueCat. Payment card details are handled by the relevant store; we never receive or store your full card number.
• Device and diagnostic data — the app can keep local diagnostic logs to help investigate problems. These logs are not automatically uploaded to us. You can choose to share diagnostic information or screenshots with support. Apple may separately provide TestFlight feedback or diagnostic and crash reports through its developer services, subject to Apple's settings and policies.

How we use it

• Provide and operate the app (open plans, measure, mark up, save your record).
• Keep your content on your device and support exports or sharing you choose. Optional future cloud storage is not currently active or available; its data handling would be described before launch.
• Administer app purchases and applicable legacy purchase access. There are no current subscriptions for local use.
• Provide support and respond to you.
• Maintain security and improve the app.

The app does not use your plans or local work for third-party ad targeting and contains no advertising or usage-analytics tools. This is separate from the website's Meta Pixel described below. Local diagnostics and Apple-provided reports are described above.

Automated text recognition (OCR / AI)

PlanBridge uses on-device optical character recognition (OCR) and automated text-recognition technology to read text on the plans you open — for example, detecting sheet names, titles, and scale notations so the app can label and set up your plans for you. This processing happens on your device; your plans are not sent to us or to any third-party AI service for this feature. Recognition is automated and can be wrong — always verify detected scales and labels (see the Terms of Service on measurements).

How your content is stored

Your plans, photos, notes, and markups are stored on your device. Copies you choose to export or share are handled by the destination you select. There is no current PlanBridge cloud backup service; keep a separate copy of important work. We apply reasonable security measures, but no method of storage is 100% secure.

Our website

Our website, getplanbridge.com, uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms. When you visit, it tells Meta that your browser viewed our pages and records actions such as clicking a link to the App Store or Google Play. Meta may connect that visit to your Facebook or Instagram account through cookies on your device. We use this to measure our advertising and to reach people who have shown interest in PlanBridge. Under some state laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, this kind of advertising measurement may be considered "sharing" personal information.

Your choices: you can limit how Meta uses this data in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, block the pixel with common browser privacy tools, or email us at support@getplanbridge.com to ask about opting out. This applies to the website only. The PlanBridge app itself contains no advertising or analytics tools.

Who we share it with

We share limited data only with service providers that run the app for us:

• Google Firebase — optional or legacy account sign-in where available. If you use it, Firebase processes your sign-in information and stores your account email.
• Apple and Google — Apple handles paid iOS downloads; the relevant store handles Android or legacy in-app purchases. Apple may also provide the feedback and reports described above.
• RevenueCat — in-app purchase and entitlement processing on iPhone and Android.
• Email and user-selected destinations — email services process messages and attachments you send to support. Sharing destinations process files you choose to send to them. The website separately uses Meta Pixel as described above.
• Legal requests, or to protect rights and safety, when required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices and rights

• Manage or delete local content in the app. Where an optional account is available, use its available account controls or contact us about access, correction, or deletion. We cannot remotely delete content stored only on your device.
• Depending on where you live (for example, California, EU, UK), you may have additional rights to access, delete, or restrict use of your data. Contact us to exercise them.

EU and EEA users

Where the GDPR applies, we process information needed to provide PlanBridge and administer purchases under our contract with you. We rely on consent where consent is required, including for optional marketing technologies. You may ask to access, correct, erase, or receive a portable copy of your personal data, and may object to or request restriction of certain processing. Where an optional account is available, use its available deletion controls or contact support@getplanbridge.com; local content can be deleted on your device. You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

PlanBridge is a tool for work and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new effective date here and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
